Additional Projects:

7. Design a project to address a need in the community that students and adults can work on together. For example, a community garden to provide fresh vegetables in the absence of a grocery store in the community.

8. Identify experts, ex. musician, dancer, hair braider, etc., and have students interview them and make a video to be shown in class.

9. Oral stories project with youth interviewing the elderly residents. For example: "Where I'm From", created by Jennifer Strickland Poole, University of South Carolina.

10. Identify individuals or families from a different culture and have them come or be videotaped talking about their culture.
